LONNIE HAMPTON

... was born on November 11, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Elmer and Ethel Hampton. Lonnie began attending church at an early age and continued on and off throughout his life. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 30.   He loved singing and sang in the praise team at his church in Detroit.

Lonnie began to have struggles with substance abuse and even though he knew the Lord, the battle continued for many years.  Even though Lonnie knew that God could heal him, he would continue the battle with substance abuse and felt many times that he was being led on a journey where there was no hope.  It was in February 2016 that Lonnie would discover that he had cancer.  It was on that day he rededicated his life to Christ and chose to allow the Lord to deliver him from drugs.

Throughout Lonnie’s battle with cancer, he gained a closer walk with the Lord.  He finally learned how to lean and depend on Jesus!  He learned that he truly wanted to live for the Lord.  Lonnie had many people in his life, but he truly learned what it was to have a person in his life who would stick with him to weather the storms of life throughout his struggle with cancer. He said: “Bro. Lee is taking good care of me.”

His struggles of being in and out of the hospital increased his faith in the Lord. He would often say “God Is Good.” Lonnie was hospitalized many times, but the Lord would always bring him out.  His steps began to grew slower and slower, and Lonnie became tired.  He said he was ready to go home.

On Sunday, March 5, 2017 God called Lonnie home where he now no longer has to struggle. He is now free.

ERVIN LEE

.......was primarily raised and mentored by his great grandmother Mattie S. Williams who everyone in the family called Mama. Under her stern yet loving guidance he gave his life to Jesus at a very early age. Mama was always honest with him about the things God shared with her about his future.  She insisted that he begin praying for his future wife when he was only a child.  Mama never let Ervin forget that God had made him so “willfully weak” that he could not make it in life without walking with Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Although, Ervin would briefly stumble and walk away from the Lord for a few years, he would soon return because when God was all he had Jesus was all he needed!

Having lost everything and being completely incapable of much in life Ervin retreated to seek God for 31 days and stumbled across a blessed man named Lonnie Hampton who would ultimately lead him back to the Lord. Upon Ervin’s renewal, restoration and recovery he made a vow to share Jesus with anyone, anytime and at any moment in written word, spoken word, and by a praying word in the Holy Spirit.

Ervin is a Man of God who lives simply one day at a time as a child of God. He is becoming a better minister, husband, businessman, son, brother, uncle, mentor and friend in Christ Jesus.

His favorite bible verse is:  Psalm 46:10 .........Be still and know that I am God.

Ervin resides in Dallas with his wife and they steward a growing retail chain and small business consulting practice when he is not writing and reading something for the Lord.

To relax Ervin reads the bible.
